Eggshell Letter Smashing

This is officially one of my children’s all-time favourite activities! I collected empty eggshells and then wrote letters on them for my seven-year-old. She then had to hit the letters in a specific order to sound out words.

My sensory seeker daughter had such fun smashing it hard and she loved the feeling of resistance (which by the way is a very calming and satisfying sensation in the brain). She even crushed it further with her hands for added touch feedback.

My two-year-old boy hit eggshells with numbers on, but the numbers were soon forgotten when he got lost in the joy of the moment. It was so good for his eye hand coordination while having fun.

So whether you have a sensory seeker or a sensory avoider, a two-year-old or a seven-year-old, this one is for all.

Have fun, feel inspired and unlock your inner child!
