I wrote a letter on each wooden peg and then clipped them to a flower bush in our garden. It was so cute to see how hard my little boy had to visually search to find the pegs in comparison to my older daughter. How’s that for natural figure ground stimulation?
By pressing the peg open with his tippy fingers instead of pulling them off in a whole hand grasp, his finger dexterity was also stimulated.
We took the pegs inside and my daughter built as many words as she could with the letter pegs. So simple, so fun!
Have fun, feel inspired and unlock your inner child!
