LIANI AUSTIN

Position: Practice Owner / Therapist

Qualifications:

  • Occupational Therapy Degree – University of Pretoria (2005)
  • SIPT trained and post-graduate qualification in Sensory Integration (2011)
  • Basic DIRFloortime® provider (2015)
  • Tomatis® Level 1 Practitioner (2016)

Liani treats children over all age and diagnostic spectrums. She has a true passion for "difficult" children and their families who are often misunderstood. She also has a calling for abandoned babies and children, and the link between attachment and development. Infants are often referred to Liani when they are slow to reach their milestones such as crawling or for a general evaluation “check-up” of their development if they were born prematurely or if there are any concerns about their development. She also evaluates and treats the fussy baby who cries excessively and sleeps poorly, often an early sign of sensory processing disorder. Liani got ample practice while caring for newborns and young babies as a place of safety mom in her own home. She is also a mommy to a beautiful girl and boy.

 

ANNERI OOSTHUIZEN

Position: Practice Owner / Therapist

Qualifications:

  • Occupational Therapy Degree – University of Pretoria (2005)
  • SIPT trained and post-graduate qualification in Sensory Integration (2010)
  • Basic DIRFloortime® provider (2015)

Like all the therapists at Therapy Factory, Anneri treats children over all ages and diagnostic spectrums, but has a passion for children with ADHD & ADD.  This is due to her living with this condition on a daily basis and having fun with it!  She is also interested in the effect of Sensory Processing Difficulties on children with ADHD and exploring the similarities of these two look-alike conditions.  Furthermore she enjoys working with Gr.00 – Gr.2  children by helping them achieve their optimal performance level in the current school based system.  She is mommy to two energetic and lively girls.

 

MARI-LOUISE OLIVIER

Position: Practice Owner/ Occupational Therapist
 

 

Qualifications:

  •   Occupational Therapy Degree – University of Pretoria (2015)
  •   Completed Community Service at Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital
  •   Trained in basic Buggy- and Wheelchair seating
  •   Busy completing the post-graduate qualification in Sensory Integration. Completed C1, C2 and C3.

Mari-Louise treats children over all ages and diagnostic spectrums.  She is especially passionate about early intervention and has a love for all children.  She enjoys being part of a child's OT journey,assisting them to reach their optimal potential and individual goals and seeing them thrive.

SUNE VON STADE

Position: Occupational Therapist

 

Qualifications:

  • Occupational Therapy Degree – University of Pretoria (2015)
  • Completed Community Service at Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital (2016)
  • Production Level Occupational Therapist at Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital (2017 – 2018)
  • Completed the Introductory Cerebral Palsy Assessment and Treatment course presented by SANDTA and is enrolled for their course in Basic Paediatric Neuro Developmental Therapy for 2019. 
  • Neurodevelopmental Supportive Care of the Pre-term Infant - Introduction Course

NOLENE RUST

Position: Play Therapist

Qualifications:

  • BPsych counseling; MDIAC Playtherapy; MSW Forensic social work

Over the years play therapy has been found to reduce stress, help with the expression of all sorts of experiences and enhance positive coping mechanisms.  As playing is at the heart of every child’s inner world, Nolene helps children to communicate experiences in a way that they are comfortable with.  Not only does this empower children, but it also renders them with ideas to solve problems, reduce frustration and encourage self-expression and the development if self-esteem and emotional wellbeing.

Nolene offers play therapy, but also renders socio-emotional assessments, parent-child-attachment play, and interactional analysis for relationships.  She is not only based at Therapy Factory, but at a few therapy centres.
